PCI Recommends 4 Names For Khel Ratna, 2 Names For Arjun Award
To recognize the efforts of Paralympians, the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) has recommended four names for Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award and two names for Arjun Award to the government. Shooter Manish Narwal, high jumper Sharad Kumar, Shutter Pramod Bhagat, and Javelin Thrower Sundar Singh Gurjar's names are recommended for Khel Ratan. Besides, Javelin thrower Sumit Antil and Shooter Avani Lekhara may receive Arjun Award.

Indian Badminton Legend 'Nandu Natekar' Passes Away At 88
Nandu Natekar, an 88-year-old badminton player who won India's first oversee match in Malaysia in 1956, died on July 28 in Pune. He is survived by his son Gaurav and two daughters. Gaurav said, ''He's been ailing for the last 3 months and passed away peacefully.'' Natekar is also known for receiving the first Arjuna award in sports in 1961. Besides, he won over 100 titles in his career.
