Government Permits the Ayurveda Doctors To Practice General Surgeries 

Amending the Indian Medicine Central Council Regulations 2016, the Union has given a nod to Ayurveda doctors to perform surgery. During their PG training of Shalya tantra (general surgery) and Shalakya tantra (eye, ear, throat, nose and head) the doctors are being trained to perform various surgeries. PM Modi Inaugurates Two Ayurveda Institutes In Jaipur and Jamnagar

PM Modi virtually inaugurated the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur and Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar on November 13. On the National Ayurveda Day, he said now the science of ancient India has been integrated with that of 21st century. He also emphasized how the importance of kaadha, turmeric milk and ashwagandha as immunity boosters during the COVID-19 spread in India.
