31 Students Test Positive For COVID Raising Overall Cases To 582: Bengaluru

At least 31 Bengaluru students screened positive for Covid on June 14, raising the overall number of new Covid instances to 582. Positive cases have increased from 2.69 percent to 2.83 percent. 21 students at the New Standard English School and 10 kids at MES School tested positive for Covid. Bengaluru Police Arrests Actor Shakti Kapoor's Son Siddhanth Kapoor For Drug Abuse

Police apprehended Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth Kapoor for allegedly ingesting narcotics at a party in Bengaluru on June 12. Police investigated a hotel on MG Road after receiving a tip. 35 samples were submitted of those who were suspected. Six samples were found to be positive, including Siddhanth Kapoor's. It's uncertain if they consumed narcotics before going to the party or if they took them inside the hotel.

Speeding Vehicle Kills 1 Person & Injures 3 More In Bengaluru

A 28-year-old man was killed and three others were wounded when a speeding car swerved onto the pavement in Bengaluru on May 20. Rudrappa alias Suresh Kumar, of Bellur village in Shivamogga district, has been identified as the dead. The force of the collision threw one of them into the air, while another was trapped between two automobiles. The authorities assume the accident was caused by lack of sleep.

Haralur Lake in Bellandur, Bangalore, is degrading by the day owing to sewage infiltration. Dead fish were observed floating on the top of the water body. SC Dismisses CBI Plea Against Karnataka HC In Bengaluru Raid Case

The Supreme Court (SC) bench headed by CJI NV Ramana rejected the CBI plea, challenging Karnataka HC's judgment. Notably, recently, the Karnataka HC directed the CBI to release the seized money during a raid at the premises of Congress leader DK Shivakumar's close associate Sachin Narayan. The Karnataka HC said, there is no evidence to show that money seized has any connection with the illegal crime.

Journalist working With International News Agency Found Dead: Bengaluru

In Bengaluru, 35-year-old Sruthi Narayanan, working as a journalist in an international news agency was found dead in her Bengaluru flat, on March 24. The police found her strangled in her flat. The family of the deceased claimed it to be murder and suspected her husband, Aneesh who used to allegedly torture her. Police also speculated tense relationship between the couple. A FIR has been registered and investigation is underway.
