Bhairon Jhanki

Following the decades-old tradition, people of Rajouri celebrated the 'Bhairon Jhanki' Festival in J&K, ahead of Holi. The festival lasts for eight days, where a person plays the role of Bhairon Baba, as a part of Jhanki. However, people believe that celebrating this festival will keep you away from disease and fear. "Since the festival has started, this place has not witnessed a drought," a local resident said.
