Indian Men's Football Team Advance To 104 In FIFA Rankings, Women's Team To 56
In the most recent FIFA global rankings, which were revealed on June 23, the Indian men's senior national football team rose two spots, from 106 to 104, as a result of their outstanding Asian Cup qualification performance. Indian women's senior national football squad also had progress, moving up three spots from 59 to 56. Blue Tigers topped Group D in AFC Asian Cup qualifiers with three victories out of three.

India Beat Hong Kong To Finish First In Their Group In AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023
India beat Hong Kong in the Salt Lake Stadium, finishing first in their AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers group on June 14. Blue Tigers' Anwar Ali scored three minutes into the game. Just before halftime, the star striker Chhetri extended the lead with a 30-yard freekick, his fourth goal of the tournament. At a Group B match in Ulaanbaatar, Palestine beat Philippines, ensuring India's place in the Asian Cup Finals.
