The Supreme Court heard a plea on August 11, by Rajasthan MLA Madan Dilawar over the disqualification of six BSP MLAs who were elected to the state assembly on a BSP ticket but later merged with Congress. SC is yet to decide on the legality of the Speaker’s decision to recognise the merger, and the transfer of the pending Rajasthan HC case to the Apex Court.
