In a car-bus collision at Amritsar-Jammu national highway, a married couple was killed while ten school children sustained injuries on August 10. The married couple was traveling in their car was hit by the bus as the bus was merging onto the highway. Reportedly, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver. However, the bus driver fled leaving the injured children behind.
