4 More Pilgrims Die In Kedarnath, Death Toll At 38 Since May 6: Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand's Kedarnath, four more Pilgrims lost their lives after falling ill, on May 25. Meanwhile, three others have been airlifted to Rishikesh's AIIMS via air ambulance. The deceased have been identified as Rishi Bhadauriya (65), Shambu Dayal Yadav (66), Kamalnath Bhatt (60) and Changdev Janardan Shinde. Reportedly, since May 6, over 38 Pilgrims have died on their way, due to cardiac arrest and other health problems.

Police Deployed At Malali Juma Masjid, Section 144 Imposed: Mangalore

In Karnataka's Mangaluru, a large number of police personnel have been deployed at Malali Juma masjid, to prevent any untoward incident from happening, on May 25. The move has come after right-wing organisations performed 'Tambula Prashne' at Sri Ramanjaneya Bhajana Mandira in Malali. Reportedly, section 144 has been imposed within 500 metres of the masjid till 8am, on May 26.

Mame Khan Becomes First Folk Artist To Walk Cannes Red Carpet 22

Manganiar singer Mame Khan from Rajasthan created history, as he became the first folk artist to walk the red carpet of Cannes 2022. Khan was amongst Indian contingent at Cannes with Minister Anurag Thakur in France. Originally from Rajasthan, Mame Khan has gained fame for his traditional Rajasthani music for 15 generations. Furthermore, Khan was slaying Cannes red carpet in the traditional Rajasthani outfit, Jacket, and floral turban.

Administration Seals Church Gate After Complaints Of Religious Conversion: Odisha

In Odisha's Bhadrak, Section 144 has been imposed by the district administration after receiving complaints alleging a church to be involved in conversion of innocent tribals to Christianity. With this, not more than three persons are allowed to gather within the vicinity of the church, and the church gate is sealed. Sub collector of Bhadrak Manoj Patra said, "we found out that there is some breach of peace between communities".

Dargah Built In Jogulamba Temple Premises, Claims BJP MLA Raja Singh: Telangana

Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh raised an issue with the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), stating that a Dargah has been constructed over the Jogulamba temple premises. He then demanded the immediate removal of the "non-Hindu religious construction". He stated that the dargah appeared "all of a sudden", and it was constructed "overnight". "Remove the construction as a token of respect for Hindus in secular India," he said.

Rock music legend Kurt Cobain's electric guitar, which he played in his band Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" music video, auctioned for nearly $5 million (Rs 38.8 crore). Jim Irsay Collection of Indianapolis at Julien's Auctions took the guitar which was favourite of Cobain.  In his final interview Cobain said, "I'm left-handed, and it's not very easy to find reasonably priced, high-quality left-handed guitars." Archeologists Find 1038 AD Stone Tablet With Tamil Vatteluttu Inscriptions: Tiruppur

Archaeologists in Tamil Nadu's Paranchervazhi village in Kangayam, have found a stone tablet with Tamil Vatteluttu script inscribed on it. The tablet belonging to 1038 AD, has a height of 90 cm and width of 30 cm. It contains 17 lines referring to the offering of grants to a Shiva temple or Jain temple in the Chola dynasty. The tablet also mentions the name of ruler Vikrama Chozhan's father Kokalimoorkkan.

A plea has been filed in Varanasi Court on May 18, seeking permission to demolish the wall beside the Wazukhana where the Shivling is claimed to have been found.
