Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Exits As Twitter Board Of Directors
Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced to step down from the Twitter Board of Directors. The announcement came on May 25, after the annual shareholder meeting. With Dorsey's exit from the Board of Directors, he is no more a part of the microblogging-site, which is now owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Notably, the talk of Jack's exit was in place since he stepped down as Twitter CEO in 2021.

NASA Shares Images Of Erupting Kavachi Volcano, Most Known For Shark Inhabitants
According to NASA, the Kavachi volcano in the Solomon Islands, one of the most active undersea volcanoes in the Pacific Ocean, is emitting more plumes. After a 2015 expedition revealed two kinds of sharks living within the active crater, the underwater volcano was called "Sharkcano." SpiceJet Flights Impacted Due To Ransomware Attack
SpiceJet airlines fell victim to a ransomware attack, due to which, passengers were stranded at various airports and morning flight departures were impacted, on May 25. Apple Unveils Pride Edition Watch Bands & Watch Faces For 2022
To show its support for LGBTQ community and to commemorate Prime Month in June, Apple has released two Pride Edition bands and watch faces. This year it features a color gradient with the word "pride" woven into the band. Apple Pride Edition Sport Loop and Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop are available for $49 on the online store and will be available at Apple Store locations starting May 26.

Vivo Introduces The Y75 4G Android Smartphone In India
Following the formal announcement of the Vivo Y75 5G, Vivo also revealed the 4G model of the Android smartphone. The new Y75 features a 44-inch 1080x2400 AMOLED screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC at the helm. It has in-display fingerprint sensor and a hybrid dual-SIM slot. It is available for Rs 20,999 on Vivo India's online store in Moonlight Shadow and Dancing Waves colorways.

Google To Enable Alternative Payment Options Temporarily For Match Apps
Match Group Inc announced Google will temporarily enable the company to give consumers a variety of payment systems. Match filed a lawsuit against Google in May, calling it a "last resort" to keep Tinder and its other applications on the Google Play store. By June 1, Google said it will stop allowing people to download certain of Match's applications if they exclusively used Google's payment system and shared revenue.

Apple May Introduce A New HomePod Smart Speaker In Early 2023: Kuo
Apple is planning to release a new HomePod smart speaker in late 2022 or early 2023. According to supply chain expert Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to deliver the next HomePod model in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of next year. This will most likely be a larger model than the HomePod mini, but one with features that will help lower the price from $300.

First 5G Call In India Tested At IIT Madras Using Domestically Created Technology
Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology, placed the first 5G call on a trial network put up at IIT Madras using domestically produced technology on May 19. The complete end-to-end network, as per the minister, was conceived and constructed in India. He claimed it was an attempt to demonstrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to a self-sufficient India.

Govt Softwares To Soon Have Kannada Templates, Says CM Bommai: E-Kannada Project
Softwares related to state government will soon contain templates in Kannada, said Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai. He said that the language Kannada must synergise with technology to evolve ahead. Speaking a function to launch e-Kannada project, he said, "it is heartening to note that many softwares are now available in Kannada." He further stated that the language should be developed to cater to the needs of Kannadigas.
