UK Seeks Custom Duty Cut On Electric Vehicles Amid Discussion With India
The UK is pushing for a cut in customs duty on electric vehicles in the ongoing negotiations for signing a free-trade deal with India, a senior official confirmed. At present there is a customs duty of 60 per cent on imported cars priced below $40,000 while it is 100% on those priced above this point. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Hikes Reservation To 65%
In Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar announced a hike in reservations to 65%. The announcement was made on November 7, and the proposed hike will be tabled in the Assembly on November 9.
