Maha Govt Promises Rs 5 Lakh Aid For Children Orphaned Due To COVID

The Maharashtra government on June 2 announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for children orphaned due to COVID-19 in the state. The amount will be deposited into the children's bank accounts and will be provided to them with interest when they turn 21 years of age. Notably, the decision will benefit those, aged up to 18 years, who lost their one or both parents due to COVID-19.
