Rare Irrawaddy Dolphins Of Chilika Lake Rises To 156: Survey
An annual survey conducted at Odisha's Chilika Lake has revealed that the number of rare Irrawaddy dolphins has increased from 150 to 156 in 2020. Odisha to Revive Tourism by Offering River Cruises
In order to boost tourism, Odisha Chief Secretary has directed the Department of Tourism to start river cruises within the state. Addressing a meeting, he said, "River cruising itself is compatible with Covid-19 restrictions. There is a huge scope and latent market for world Class River cruising in Odisha." Further, the secretary of tourism proposed three river cruise circuits - Mahanadi, Chilika lake, and Dangmala reserve forest.
