National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has said an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 on the Richter scale jolted the areas of Karnataka's Kalaburagi district on the morning of October 10. Santosh Baler, a resident of Gadikeshwar, said, ''He heard a huge sound from the earth and experienced tremors at around 6.05 AM.'' Reportedly, people often hear peculiar sounds from the earth that also makes them scared.
