Indian Army on Surveillance; Chinese Plays Punjabi Songs at LAC
The Chinese Army played Punjabi songs on loudspeakers at the 'Finger 4' area of Pangong Lake, in the eastern Ladakh, on September 16. Reportedly, this is an attempt to either distract the Indian Army or to ease growing tensions between the countries. The Indian Army is on alert and vigilant in the region, keeping a surveillance on the loudspeakers. Tensions at the India-China border have continued since April this year.

India-China Face Off: China Releases Video Exhibiting its Military in Action
A 100-second film has been released by the People's Liberation Army (PLA), which exhibits the Chinese army in "power-pack action." The intention behind the video was to create the sense of fear following the India-China standoff. The film shows intimidating Chinese troops in the Tibet region. A lot of effort has been put into producing videos of this kind, and reports suggest that the scenes included an actual team encounter drill.

US Cancels Visas of Chinese Students, Researchers Citing "National Security"
The United States on September 10 revealed that it has cancelled visas of over 1,000 Chinese students and researchers, citing "national security" as the reason. The US suspected them of having links with Chinese army. India, China; Major General- Level Talks Held for Disengagement in Eastern Ladakh
The senior army commanders of India and China held talks to carry forward the disengagement process along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on August 8, in Daulat Beg Oldi and Depsang of eastern Ladakh. The talks are centred towards the disengagement process in the region. Indian army is expected to maintain a high-level of readiness until the Chinese troops are completely disengaged from all the regions.
