Indian Army on Surveillance; Chinese Plays Punjabi Songs at LAC

The Chinese Army played Punjabi songs on loudspeakers at the 'Finger 4' area of Pangong Lake, in the eastern Ladakh, on September 16. Reportedly, this is an attempt to either distract the Indian Army or to ease growing tensions between the countries. The Indian Army is on alert and vigilant in the region, keeping a surveillance on the loudspeakers. Tensions at the India-China border have continued since April this year.

A 100-second film has been released by the People's Liberation Army (PLA), which exhibits the Chinese army in "power-pack action." The intention behind the video was to create the sense of fear following the India-China standoff. The film shows intimidating Chinese troops in the Tibet region. A lot of effort has been put into producing videos of this kind, and reports suggest that the scenes included an actual team encounter drill.
