Earthquake Of 4.8 Magnitude Jolts Leh’s Alchi
An Earthquake of 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Leh’s Alchi on September 16. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the Earthquake exactly occurred 189 km north of Leh’s Alchi. Furthermore, the quake had a depth of 10km below the ground, and occurred at 4:19 am. Notably, NCS is the nodal agency that monitors the earthquake activity in the country.

India-China Defence Force Holds High-Level Meeting At LOC
The Indian government officials held a high-level meeting with Chinese troops, on August 31. During the meeting, routine matters pertaining to peace and tranquillity were discussed between the two nations officials. They also spoke about air space violations by Chinese troops, warning Chinese troops against misadventures. These meetings between China-India are in the view of border arrangements for peace and law, between India and China.

Chinese Hackers Target Indian Power Distribution Centre In Ladakh: J&K
Union power minister RK Singh, on April 7, said that the cyber attack carried out by Chinese hackers were blocked by the Indian officials. AIMIM President Owaisi Questions Modi Govt On Ladakh Standoff
AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the centre on why China is claiming that the Ladakh issue is resolved. "Will the Government please confirm whether this is true?" Owaisi tweeted. He further demanded a proper debate about the Ladakh border crisis and our strategy to deal with China in the Parliament. Earthquake Of 4.3 Magnitude Hits Kargil: Ladakh
The National Center for Seismology on February 22, said a 4.3 magnitude earthquake jolted Ladakh's Kargil at 8.35 AM. The epicenter of the quake is reported to be 151 km northwest of Kargil and was located 10 kilometers from the depth of the earth. Ladakh Reports 179 Fresh COVID Cases & No Deaths In Last 24 Hours
With 179 fresh cases, the tally of COVID-19 cases in Ladakh reached 25,215, while the active number of cases in the union territory is 1,308. The region has recorded 223 COVID related deaths, out of which, 164 belonged to Leh district and 59 belonged to Kargil district, while 188 patients recovered. Notably, no deaths were reported in Ladakh in the last 24 hours.

Ladakh Reports 163 Fresh Cases Of COVID-19; 129 Cases From Leh & 34 Cases From Kargil
The union territory of Ladakh reported 163 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 24,818, while the active cases came down to 1244. The region has recorded 222 COVID deaths since the outbreak, however, no deaths were reported on January 24. Out of the fresh 163 cases, 129 have been reported from Leh district and 34 were reported from Kargil district.

Ladakh Records 179 New COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours
The Ladakh Union Territory has reported 179 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 24,213, and active cases to 1,101. Out of 179 fresh cases, 112 cases were reported from Leh, while 67 others came from Kargil area of the said Union Territory. However, death toll remained unchanged, as no COVID deaths were reported in the previous day, while the positivity rate of Ladakh stands at 3.9%.

BJP Appoints Phunchok Stanzis As President Of Party's Ladakh Unit
The BJP appointed Phunchok Stanzis as BJP President of Ladakh unit, on January 9. National BJP President JP Nadda, took the decision regarding the appointment. "BJP National President Hon'ble Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda appointed Shri Phunchok Stanzis as State President of Ladakh BJP. This appointment comes into immediate effect," said Arun Singh, the National General Secretary of the BJP, in an issued letter.
