'Lockdown' Declared As Word Of The Year by Collins Dictionary

Scotland-based Collins dictionary named 'Lockdown' as the word of the year after over a quarter million usage in 2020. Defined as "stringent restrictions on travel, social interaction and access to public spaces", it was chosen for its unifying experience for billions, and for summarizing the year, said Collins.
