Considering the need of Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicles, Indian Army has issued a request on June 24 to attain information for acquiring 1,750 FICV tanks. Besides, the army is also looking forward to acquire 350 light tanks in a phased manner. However, a demand to equip the army with advanced technology has gradually emerged since the recent conflict with China in Ladakh's tough terrain.
