Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.0 Jolts Maharashtra's Ratnagiri

The National Centre for seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district on November 15 at 2:36 AM. The depth of the quake was recorded at 5 kilometres from the surface. The epicentre of the quake was in coastal Ratnagiri which is 350 kilometre away from Mumbai. However, there were no reports of death and casualties, said J L Gautam, Head (Operations) of the NCS.
