Biden Appoints New US Ambassador To Nepal; Dean Thompson To Replace Berry
US president Joe Biden has appointed Dean R Thompson as the US ambassador to Nepal, replacing Randy Berry. Thompson serves as the state department's deputy assistant secretary for the south and central Asian affairs, and was also the Consul general of the US consulate in Kolkata, West Bengal. He was also the deputy chief of mission in the US embassy at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
