12 Killed And 11 Injured In Highway Accident: Mexico
At least 12 people lost their lives and 11 were injured, after passanger van crashed in Jalisco, Mexico, on January 29. The Civil Protection & Fire department of Jalisco said that tourists were travelling in the vehicle, when it overturned on Leon-Aguascalientes highway, resulting in killing of eight men and four women. Notably, the Jalisco has registered 1,015 deaths due to traffic accidents in 2021.

2 Died And 3 Injured In Wall Collapse Incident: Uttar Pardesh
At least two persons lost their lives, while three others got injured after a wall of a house collapsed in Ibrahimpur Gadhi area of Sahswan Uttar Pardesh. The incident happened on January 16, when people had gathered for mourning Naresh Pal's granddaughter. The deceased persons were identified as Pal and Rum Singh, while injured; Manveer Singh, Rai Singh and Awadhesh are being treated in hospital and are stable.

Car Rams Into Road Divider In Karnataka; 7 Dead
Seven persons died in a road accident, after the car they were travelling in rammed into a road divider in Jagaluru Taluka area in Karnataka, on January 14. The victims were travelling to Hosapete from Bengaluru, when the accident happened, and reportedly hailed from Yadgir district. Six of them were killed on the spot, while another one succumbed to injuries at hospital.

India Reports 8,954 New Cases, 267 Deaths In 24 Hours: Covid-19 Update
India recorded 8,954 new Covid-19 cases, 10,207 recoveries and 267 deaths in the last 24 hours. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed the updated figures on December 1. As of now, India has 99,023 active cases and 3,40,28,506 discharges. The death toll has reached 4,69,247, till date. Moreover, India has administered more than 124.10 crore vaccine doses against Covid-19.

Covid-19 Officially Declared As Deadliest Pandemic In U.S History
The Covid-19 pandemic has officially been declared the deadliest pandemic in the history of the United States of America. This is because the death count of Covid-19 surpassed the death count of the 1918 pandemic, also known as the Spanish Flu. According to reports from CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) Covid-19 has claimed 6,76,076 lives, whereas the Spanish Flu claimed 6,75,000 lives.

South Korea Records More Deaths Than Births In 2020; Alarm Raised
South Korea, having world’s lowest birth rate, has recorded more deaths than births in the year 2020. Against the 2,75,800 births, the country recorded 3,07,764 deaths last year. 18% Of India's Total Deaths In 2019 Due To Air Pollution: ISLDBI Report
A report by the India State-level Disease Burden Initiative revealed that more than 1.7 million people succumbed to air pollution in India in 2019. The report said these deaths accounted for around 18% of deaths in 2019 and inflicted around Rs 2.6 lakh crore to economy. Beirut: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Port, Month After Deadly Explosion
On September 10, an immense fire was reported at the Beirut Port, one month after the huge explosion in Lebanon. The fire killed more than 200 people. The residents are triggered for the second time this year. The reason behind the incident is yet to be identified. However, the Lebanese army officials believe that the fire was caught in the duty free zone in the warehouse where oils and tires were stored.
