Defence Min Asks Army To Help Civil Administrations In COVID Crisis
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has requested the Army units in states to help create additional capacities to treat COVID patients. Agreeing to it, Army Chief General MM Naravane said besides providing assistance to civil administrations the Army will render treatment to civilians in its medical facilities. While states topmost army official will contact with CMs, Air Force and Navy have also been asked to gear up for preparedness.

DRDO Supplies 150 Jumbo Oxygen Cylinders To UP, Promises 1000 More

Centre To Include Fishermen In PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Rajnath Singh
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking at an election rally in Kerala, extended the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi that helps farmers with annual assistance of Rs 6000 per year to fishermen as well. Moreover, he promised the Centre's support to fishermen by proving them with Kisan credit cards and loans. 'iDEX4Fauji' Introduced To Encourage Innovations Among Army Personnel
The Defence Ministry has launched a program, 'iDEX4Fauji', to promote innovative ideas by members of the Indian Armed Forces. The program, launched by Rajnath Singh, will also reward the Army staff. Ministry said that this was a first-of-its-kind initiative and "will bolster frugal innovation ideas from soldiers/ field formations.” It opined that since many of them work on the ground, they would have ideas to improve equipment.
