Dehu

Sale of meat has been banned in the jurisdiction of Dehu area, in Pune, on April 1. The resolution was taken in the Nagar Panchayat which took place on February 25. Following the ban, meat shop owners in Dehu area have been asked to shut their shops, with a threat of legal action against violators. The move has come to safeguard the sentiments of the Sant Tukaram Maharaj temple devotees.
