Delhi CM Requests Centre To Give People Booster Shots: Omicron Scare

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, on December 20, urged the Centre to give people a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, Delhi reported six new cases of COVID-19 Omicron variant, increasing the total tally to 28. ''In order to strengthen the home isolation program, a review meeting will be held on December 23,'' added CM Kejriwal. Delhi has four dedicated centers for the treatment of the variant.

Arvind Kejriwal To Visit Punjab For Two Days: Punjab Poll 2022

Ahead of the upcoming Punjab Assembly election, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit the state on his two-day visit, starting from December 15. Meanwhile, Mr. Kejriwasl will attend Trianga Yatra and Public meetings in Jalandhar and Lambi. Reportedly, he has promised to provide Rs 1,000 monthly to every woman of the state above the age of 18 years if Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) comes to power.

Restriction May Be Imposed Due To Omicron, Says Delhi CM

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on December 13 said his government is ready to impose restrictions to tackle the new strain of COVID-19, Omicron, if needed. ''Currently, there is no such need to impose any restrictions,'' added CM Kejriwal. Besides, he said the decision on the reopening of schools in the Union territory would be taken after the winter vacation gets over.

Arvind Kejriwal Promises Hike In 'Griha Adhar Scheme' Benefits: Goa Election

Addressing a rally in Goa, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on December 5 promised a hike in Griha Adhar Scheme. During the Women's Convention event in South Goa, Kejriwal assured the hike for women (18+) to be Rs 2,500 per month from Rs 1,500, if voted to power in the upcoming Goa Assembly polls. However, this would cause the burden of Rs 500 crore on the state exchequer.

Kejriwal Imposes Complete Firecrackers Ban Before Diwali

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on September 15 announced a complete ban on the sale, usage, and storage of all types of firecrackers in order to curb the pollution on Diwali. Announcing the development, Kejriwal tweeted, ''A complete ban is being imposed...So that people's lives can be saved.'' However, the BJP criticised the decision and said the Delhi government should compensate the traders for their loss.

Kejriwal To Support Farmers' Movement In 2022 Punjab Poll

Before the upcoming 2022 Assembly polls in Punjab, AAP party chief Arvind Kejriwal met with the party's Punjab MLAs in New Delhi to discuss the winning strategy. Reportedly, the meeting lasted for three hours and Kejriwal decided to fully support the farmers' movement in the state. Kejriwal said the Centre ''should immediately repeal the anti-agriculture black laws''. Moreover, he also advised the MLAs to campaign door to door.
