Two SpiceJet pilots flying the SG960 Bengaluru-Guwahati flight have been suspended by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials as they undershot the runway while landing. According to the data from DGCA, a total of 372 lakh passengers have traveled by air from January to July, 2020 which is 54.84% lesser than the number of passengers travelled last year in the same period. The domestic air passenger traffic has reduced by 82.3% to 21.07 lakh in the month of July. IndiGo continues to be the largest carrier with a market share of 60.4% in July.
