MP's Gwalior Follows Advanced Technology, Launches Drone School

Madhya Pradesh opened its first drone school in Gwalior. MP's CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the school. The CM said, "First drone school in the state has been inaugurated in Gwalior. There's huge employment potential in this industry as drones can be used for various purposes". With this, MP becomes first in the country to use drone technology in various purposes.

BSF Shoots Down Pakistani Drone Near Punjab's Ferozpur

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a drone in the Ferozpur sector on March 7. At 2:55 AM a humming sound was heard something flying past from Pakistan towards India, following which the troops immediately alerted and shot down the drone. Three packets coloured in black and green wrappers, attached to it. The packets contained contraband items weighing 4.7 kgs. Further details awaited.

2 Injured After Being Hit By Drone During R-Day Celebrations

In Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur, one man and a woman sustained injuries after a drone fell on them during the Republic Day Celebrations on January 26. They were taken to the Mahakaushal Hospital, as per ANI . After treating the wounds, they are reportedly in a stable condition and can talk. BSF Shoots Down China-Made Pakistani Drone In Punjab

The Border Security Forces (BSF) intercepted a China-made Pakistani drone in the Ferozepur sector of Punjab on December 18. Flying at a distance of 300 meters from the border, the Paramilitary troop posted at BOP Wan, Ex-103 Bn, Amarkot, shot it down. "Once again anti-national element activity was foiled," said the paramilitary troop. They also launched a search operation near the area, which is going on currently.

SpiceJet Plans To Offer Drone Delivery Service In India

SpiceJet on December 11 announced that it's set to enter the market of drone delivery service, expanding its logistic platform. The service includes delivering vaccines, life-saving drugs, and essential goods to the remote areas of India, reported UNI. Initially, It'll transport payloads of 0-5 kg, 5-10 kg, and 10-25 kg. ''It will change the game for fast and cost-effective logistics in India,'' said Ajay Singh, airline Chairman.

Another Drone Spotted in Jammu, 5 Drones In 3 Days

Following the two consecutive days of drone activities in Jammu, another drone is spotted at three different locations, Kunjwani, Sunjwan, and Kaluchak. According to the sources, the drone was witnessed at around 2:30 AM on June 29 but disappeared after some time. Earlier, two drone attacks were reported on June 27, and two were found hovering over Kaluchak military camp on June 28. However, the investigations are underway.

ICMR, Telangana Govt Plans To Deliver Vaccine Through Drones

In order to deliver the vaccine and medicine to inaccessible and far flung areas due to rough terrain, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Telangana govt are planning to use drones. The ICMR have already approached drone companies with bids for the same. A study has been initiated by TS govt to understand the feasibility of delivering medicines and other medical supplies.
