Karnataka Issues Guidelines To Mitigate Ill-effects Of Online Classes On Eyes

Taking cognisance of ill-effects of online classes on children's eyes, Karnataka government has formulated guidelines to mitigate such issues. The government has taken recommendations of an experts panel into consideration in this regard. It directed that online classes for students of class 1-5 cannot exceed 30 minutes in one stretch, while for above classes the limit is 45 minutes. Goa Government to Make Anganwadi Centres Digital to Promote E-learning

With an aim to promote e-learning, Goa government has collaborated with Siemens and ConveGenius to install digital setup in Anganwadis across the state. Goa Health Minister mentioned that the initiative is taken up under the 'Digital India Mission' and will begin from Anganwadis in Sattari and Ponda Taluka. Reportedly, the digital setup will include smart TVs and tablets with pre-loaded educational software.

US School Teacher Recreates ‘Friends’ Theme to Welcome Back Students

Paul Miller, a teacher of Appleton East High School in Wisconsin, US, found a creative way to kickstart the new school session amid the pandemic. He welcomed his students through his ‘Back to school’ music video, a recreation of the iconic 'Friends' theme song called “I’ll Be There For You”. Delhi: Schools to Remain Closed Until September 30; Online Learning to Continue

The Delhi government on September 4 issued a circular stating schools will remain shut till September 30. However, students of classes 9 to 12 from non-containment zones will be allowed to visit their schools for guidance from their teachers.
