Delhi: Shopkeeper Booked For Hoarding 34.6 Kgs Of Illegal Firecrackers
The Delhi Police on November 6 arrested a shopkeeper in Dabri area for hoarding about 34.6 kg of illegal firecrackers. Reportedly, the police raided the shop after receiving an input regarding the crime. The store owner, Rakesh Bansal, has been booked under the sections of the Explosives Act. Earlier, the Delhi government on November 5 enforced a total ban on sale and use of firecrackers from November 7 to 30.

Cracker Sales May Drop Up to 50% In Chennai
Ahead of the festival season, the pandemic-hit firecracker business might witness a drop in price from 15-20% up to 50% in Chennai city. The orders from Sivakasi, which usually accounts for 10% of the total production in the city have been reduced this year by the wholesale traders. The annual cracker fair this year in the Island Grounds will have only 40 stalls instead of the usual 70.
