1 Dead In Tiger Attack In Maharashtra's Gadchiroli
Ajit Nakade (21) was killed in a tiger attack in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, on May 5. The incident reportedly took place when Ajit when to Ussegaon forest with his female friend on a two-wheeler. Reportedly, after they ventured deep into the forest, a tiger pounced on Nakade and dragged him away. Nakade's friend fled the spot and alerted the locals about the incident.

Maharashtra: Five Naxals Including Four Women Get Killed In Police Encounter
The Maharashtra Police on October 18 gunned down five Naxals, including four women, in Gadchiroli district. During a combing operation in Kosmi-Kisneli forest region, the C-60 commandos of Gadchiroli police faced firing from the Naxals.
