Malini Parthasarathy Announces Her Resignation From The Hindu Groups
Malini Parthasarathy announced her decision to step down from her position on the board of The Hindu Group Publishing Private Ltd on Monday, June 5. In a statement, she hinted at a disagreement with the board, expressing that she made the decision to move on because the scope for her efforts “has narrowed”. The statement confirmed her resignation from the publishing house.

Delhi HC Asks Centre To Review GST On Oxygen Concentrators
The Delhi High Court on May 6 asked the Centre to reconsider imposing GST on oxygen concentrators and exempt them from GST. The HC appointed senior counsel Arvind Datar as amicus curiae to help the court. Reportedly, the Centre citing its incapability failed to accept court’s May 5 order to refrain 12% GST on oxygen concentrators. The petitioner, in this case, mentioned Article 21 to raise concern on tax.

Former Editor K. Narayanan of The Hindu Group Passes Away At 88
Renowned journalist K. Narayanan who was the first Readers' Editor at "The Hindu", passed away on September 29. The 88 year old veteran was suffering from a prolonged illness before he took his last breath in Coimbatore. He served 'The Hindu Group' for five decades and was known for his professionalism towards his work. However, Narayan was also associated with the groups fortnightly magazine Frontline, for years.
