India Deploys 50,000 Additional Troops To China Border
India deployed 50,000 additional troops to the India-China border amidst tension. Reportedly China had also moved troops from Tibet to the Xinjiang military command, although the number is unknown. At present India has 200,000 troops deployed in the border areas which is a 40% increase from last year. Besides, the Indian Navy has placed more warships along vital shipping lanes for prolonged durations.

Chinese Soldier Detained At Line Of Actual Control In Eastern Ladakh
For trespassing border, a Chinese soldier was captured by the Indian troops near the Pangong Tso lake in Eastern Ladakh in the wee hours of January 8. Notably, this is the second incident at the Line of Actual Control in the last 19 months. As per reports, the Indian Army have initiated a probe on the matter. Besides, they are dealing with the PLA soldier as per laid-down procedures.
