Issac Newton's Handwritten 'Principia' Papers To Be Auctioned

Father of calculus and gravity's discoverer Issac Newton's handwritten notes, which are revisions to his masterwork "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy", will be up for auction in London on July 8. As per auction company Christie's, Newton's work could fetch as much as $1.3 million. The book, published in 1687, contain laws of gravitation and motion, and its first edition was auctioned for $3.7 million in 2016.

240 Stolen Books Worth $3.3 Million Recovered From Underground House

A total of 240 rare books were recovered from an underground house in Romania. Scheduled to be shipped for a book fair in the US, the books worth $3.3 million were stolen by a Romanian gang from a warehouse in London. The books included originals works of renowned scientists Issac Newton and Galileo Galilei and artist Francisco Goya. Later, the books were transported to the National Library in Bucharest.
