Being apart for three decades, a 70-year-old man has reunited with his family with the help of ITBP soldiers. Knowing only Kannada, Kenchappa Govindappa from Karnataka was stuck in Uttarakhand where he worked at a roadside eatery, earning only a meal and sleeping at a bus stop in bone-chilling cold. ITBP Rolls Out Online Liquor Distribution System For Its Personnel

An online Centralised Liquor Management System (CLMS) has been launched by the ITBP to provide desired liquor brands to the Army personnel guarding the LAC. The recently cleared long-standing move will help the in-service and retired ITBP personnel to buy liquor from their nearest unit and also check the stock online. Previous system provisioned them to purchase the liquor only from the canteens of the units, where they were posted.

ITBP Plants Saplings To Create 'Galwan Ke Balwan' Garden For Martyrs

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police have started a plantation drive in a garden dedicated to the Galwan martyrs, named ‘Galwan Ke Balwan’. Uttarakhand Govt Unites With ITBP to Encourage Water Sports At Tehri Lake

The Tehri Lake Adventure Institute will be managed by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) for 20 years, according to a MoU signed between ITBP and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board. The pact, aimed to promote adventure tourism in the state, is said to help ITBP and other police forces as well. ITBP plans to impart training in various water sports, water-rescue and life-saving courses at the institute.
