Pollution Board Imposes Fine On Jaggery Units In UP

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, on March 17, slapped a hefty fine of Rs. 25,000 on jaggery manufacturing units, for causing pollution. As per Press Trust of India, the UPPCB conducted a drive on night of March 16 and found 20 jaggery units in Muzzafarnagar, burning plastic wastes.
