Education Minister Comments on JEE, NEET Exams; Says, Parents & Students Wanted It
On August 25, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, said that the students and parents wanted JEE and NEET exams which are scheduled next month, to be conducted. Mamata Banerjee Requests Centre To Postpone NEET, JEE 2020
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on August 24 demanded postponement of NEET and JEE examinations given the COVID-19 threat. Requesting that Centre should conduct exams in "conducive situation", she tweeted, “It's our duty to ensure a safe environment for all our students." Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had also demanded the same on August 23. The examination date for NEET is September 13, and for JEE-Mains, from September 1-6.
