Rs 8 Lakh Funds In 2 Months; Bharatiya Kisan Union Under FCRA Scan

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) who leads the on-going farmers' protest has been fenced due to lack of transparency in its funding sources. The FOREX department has asked BKU to submit the registration details mandatory for receiving foreign donations. Reportedly, the BKU fetched nearly Rs 8 lakh in two months from donors in and outside India. However, BKU President Joginder Ugrahan has denied the allegations and said the BKU is "targeted".
