Prohibitory Measures Imposed In Kodagu, Karnataka From August 24 To 27

Kodagu authorities have issued prohibitory measures across the district under Section 144 of the CrPC and related provisions of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963. The orders will go into effect at 6 a.m. on August 24 and will stay in force until 6 p.m. on August 27. The government has rejected permission for both the Congress protest and the BJP's Jana Jagruthi Samavesha. Both events are set for August 26.

Six People, Including A Six-Year-Old Child, Set On Fire In Kodagu

In a heart-wrenching incident, six people including a six-year-old child were set ablaze in Kanuru village, Kodagu. Reportedly, a relative of the deceased, Vara set fire to the house where the six were staying due to a family dispute. Moreover, three people including the child died on the spot while others died in the hospital. However, a special police team will further investigate the case.
