Jharkhand HC Postpones Lalu Prasad's Bail Plea In Fodder Scam Case
In a disappointment to Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav, the HC has deferred his bail plea to April 1. Notably, the former Bihar CM has been convicted in five fodder scam case, during his tenure as the state CM. Recently, the CBI court found Yadav guilty and announced five year imprisonment and Rs. 60 lakh fine. However, Lalu Prasad Yadav filed a bail plea in the Jharkhand HC.

Lalu Yadav's Kidney Functioning At 25%: His Physician Tells RIMS
Ailing RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s physician Dr Umesh Prasad has written to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences about Yadav’s kidney functioning only at 25%. Prasad added that due to Yadav’s 20-years-long diabetic history, his health "can deteriorate anytime". Lalu To Remain In Jail As Jharkhand High Court Defers Hearing On Bail Plea
The Jharkhand High Court has postponed the hearing of Lalu Prasad's bail plea to November 27 in the Dumka Treasury Fodder Scam Case. Prasad, who was convicted in four cases, has received bail in three. His counsel, Kapil Sibal, claimed a bail citing his health and informed that Prasad has already served more than half of the sentence. However, the investigative agency sought more time to file a report on Prasad's health.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Granted Bail in Fodder Scam; Continues Jail Term Under Dumka Treasury Case
The Jharkhand High Court, on October 9, granted bail to Lalu Prasad Yadav in Chaibasa Treasury case, in connection with the fodder scam. However, Yadav, who is serving his term in Birsa Munda Jail will continue to remain in custody for his pending Dumka treasury case. He was convicted in 2018 and was awarded a jail term of five years, along with a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
