Centre Plans To Set Up 3 Lakh Primary Agriculture Cooperatives; Amit Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah on September 25 revealed that the Centre is planning to revolutionize the Agrarian economy by expanding the number of primary agriculture cooperatives upto 3 Lakhs. “We will work with all states to take forward the cooperative movement," said Shah during a meeting at the Talkatora Stadium. The meeting had an audience of 2,100 cooperative representatives and around 6 crore people connected virtually.

Farmers Heartened by Record Kharif harvest, Recouping Global Food Prices
Agriculture Ministry on September 4 reported Kharif acreage reaching new record of 1,095 lakh hectare. Ministry cited 8.4% above-par monsoon and timely pre-positioning of crops as the major reasons. Coupled with the recovery in global food prices reported by FAO's price index, presumably, farmers may overcome the distress.
