Morarji Desai

PM Narendra Modi on February 28, paid tribute to former PM Morarji Desai on his 176th birth anniversary. "He made extensive efforts to make India more prosperous. He always emphasized probity in public life," tweeted PM Modi. Notably, Desai was born on February 29, 1896, and took part in the freedom struggle movement. Desai was the fourth PM between 1977 and 1976 and died on April 10, 1995.
