The facebook-owned messaging platform, WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will allow users to join a group call in the middle of it and at their preferred time. This new feature has been effective from July 20. WhatsApp group calls will show a similar feature of Zoom and Google Meet which allows users to join on their preferences. Messaging application WhatsApp is working on a 'flash call' feature for login verification. Likely to be launched in the upcoming update, the feature will enable login verification through an automated call. Notably, it would not be available for iOS as Apple does not permit reading its call logs. Meanwhile, the Facebook-owned platform has clarified that it would not use users' call history for any purpose other than the verification.
