Nipah Virus Raises Concern In Kerala; Case Count Reaches To 251
The Nipah virus has now hounded health workers including a deceased boy's mother after they tested themselves in the National Institute of Virology, Pune. Notably, the report claims that all the health-staffs who are infected were involved in the treatment of a 12-year-old. However, this devastating variant is raising the concern day by day in Kozhikode as the rate of infection rises to 251.

Deadly Nipah Virus Claims Minor Boy's Life In Kerala
In Kerala's Kozhikode, a 12-year-old boy, who was tested positive for the Nipah virus, succumbed to the infection on September 5. Reportedly, the boy was earlier also came into contact with Covid-19 but got recovered. Following the death, 15 persons are under observation and the state Health Minister Veena George said a special team has been constituted to review the situation and a central team will also reach soon.
