Nirmala Sitharaman Arrives At Finance Ministry, Budget Speech At 11 Am
Ahead of the Budget Session speech, on February 1, at 11 am, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has arrived at the Finance Ministry. After Finance Minister MoS Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Bhagwat Karad have also arrived. Moreover, the Union Budget Session 2022 started from January 31, with President Ram Nath Kovind's speech. Divided in phases, the first part of the budget session is from January 31 to February 11.

KTR Demands MGNREGS Benefits For Urban Poor People, Writes To FM
Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao, on January 27, wrote to Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman, ahead of Union Budget 2022-2023. KTR urged Sitharaman to introduce MGNREGS scheme for urban-poor population. Highlighting the increasing population of rural people in urban region, due to absence of living, KTR said the scheme would help to reduce urban poverty, which is 31% of urban population (380 million) and could be 600 million, hy 2030.

COVID Vaccination Can Boost Economy, Says Nirmala Sitharaman
Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister, referred to vaccination as "medicine to boost the economy." At the Centenary celebration of Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, she said, "about 73 crore people have been jabbed in India".
