Create Value From Waste, Use Green Hydrogen: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on December 2, said that he aims to "create value from waste" and is planning to use green hydrogen to run buses, cars, and trucks in Indian cities. While addressing the sixth National Summit and Financial Inclusion, Union minister said, "I've brought a pilot project car that would run on green hydrogen produced in an oil research institute in Faridabad. I would take a ride in the city to make people believe".

NHAI Suffers Rs 2,731 Crore Loss Due To Farmers' Protest; Nitin Gadkari

The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed the Parliament and said, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) incurred a loss of Rs 2,731 crore. He further stated that due to the agitation of farmers against the "Three Farm Laws" in 2020, at least 65 toll plazas were not operational. Reportedly, regions of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, contributed majorly to the losses.

'Indo-US Trade To Reach $500 Billion By 2025': Gadkari

Union Minister for Road and Transport, Nitin Gadkari lauded the jump in bilateral trade between India-US to $149 billion from $16 billion in last the two decades at the 17th Indo-US Economic Summit. The trade is estimated to be valued at $500 billion by 2025. Gadkari added,  "Indo-US play an important role in the post-Covid economic recovery as the world needs creative agenda for a new pathway to recovery".

Auto Scrapping Policy Will Generate Jobs: Nitin Gadkari

A day after PM Modi launched the auto scrapping policy, the road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari while speaking at the "Investor Summit" said that the policy will aid all stakeholders as the production will rise. It will infuse several job opportunities. "Cheap raw material acquired from scrapped vehicles would bring down the price of vehicles and boost their sales, thereby raising GST collection," Gadkari said.

Nitin Gandkari Inaugurates India's First LNG Station In Nagpur

India's first commercial liquified natural gas filling station has been inaugurated by Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur, Maharashtra on July 11. Gadkari said people should consider fuels such as ethanol, LNG, and CNG as they are cost-effective. People can save at least Rs 20 per litre on ethanol, he added. Furthermore, he said the ministry will soon draft a policy for flex-fuel engines.

Centre Exempts Permit Need For Oxygen Carrying Vehicles Till Sept 30

The Road Transport Ministry has extended the permit exemption for vehicles carrying oxygen till September 30.
