WhatsApp on June 1 announced Paresh B Lal as the grievance officer of the website. Reportedly, the decision came week after the new IT rules came into the effect. According to new rules, the sites with 50 lakh users have to appoint a grievance officer, nodal officer and, chief compliance officer. As per WhatsApp, users can contact Paresh through a post box in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, Telangana.
