Afghanistan's 1st Female Breakdancer Eyes Paris Olympics Despite Threats
Famed as Afghanistan's first female break-dancer, 18-year-old Manizha Talash now eyes the Paris Olympics 2024. Talash is one among six female breakdancers of Afghanistan's 30-member club that was founded a year ago. She said, "I want to be a good role model for Afghanistan.” Reportedly, Talash is even receiving death-threats from militants, and she fears that the increasing influence of Taliban militants may end her career.
