Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on August 8, said the I.N.D.I.A. was forced to bring the no-confidence motion, to break PM Narendra Modi's "maun vrat" on the Manipur violence. Gogoi posed three questions to BJP Government, in this regard. The questions include, why PM Modi didn't visit Manipur to date, why did it take almost 80 days to finally speak on Manipur and why Manipur CM is not sacked.

In the ongoing Parliament Session, opposition MPs and leaders raised objections over PM Narendra Modi not speaking about the recent gruesome viral Manipur assault on two women. MP Raghav Chaddha, TMC leaders, Congress and other parties also protested and demanded a detailed discussion over the recent assault, which has shook the nation, and questioned why the Manipur Government and Central Government did not do anything.

PM Narendra Modi addressed the Rajya Sabha, on February 9, and took a dig against the criticism and statements of the Congress. Addressing the Rajya Sabha sitting, Modi said, "True secularism is making sure that the benefits of different government schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries."  He further highlighted the achievement of the BJP and the failure of the Gandhis, which ruled the nation and moved it towards destruction.
