Paternal grandparents

The Supreme Court granted the custody of a five-year-old boy who lost his parents to COVID-19, to his paternal grandparents, quashing the order of Gujarat High Court. Following the death of his parents during the second wave of Coronavirus, the Gujarat HC had granted custody to his maternal aunt. The apex court quashing the HC order, said that in Indian society, paternal grandparents always take "better care" of their grandchildren.
