Alaskan Town to Witness Sunrise after 66 Days; 'Polar Night' Phenomenon

Residents of town Utqiagvik witnessed their last sunset of 2020 as the annual "polar night" phenomenon started on November 19. Known to have long polar nights, the town will see its next sunrise after 66 days. The phenomenon occurs as the region is located at 71.29 degrees North-latitude, and hence tilts away from the Sun during winters.
