Following outrage over Congress leader Kamal Nath using word "item" against the BJP candidate Imarti Devi in Madhya Pradesh by-polls, the Election Commission (EC) on October 21 issued a notice against him, seeking an explanation. Madhya Pradesh: Congress Releases Manifesto For Assembly By-Polls
Ahead of the upcoming state Assembly by-polls for 28 constituencies, Madhya Pradesh Congress on October 17 released its manifesto. The manifesto vowed to provide the assistance to the families of COVID-19 victims and health facilities to the poor. It also promised to implement Godhan Sewa Yojana and waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh. Congress needs all the 28 seats to form the government in the state again.
