Will Stop Ramayan Express If Dress Code Of Waiters Not Withdrawn, Say's Seers

Seers from Ujjain threatened to halt the Ramayan Express if the train's servers continued to wear their saffron uniforms, claiming it was an insult to Hinduism. Avdeshpuri, the former general secretary of the Ujjain Akhada Parishad, said he wrote to the railway minister to voice their dislike of the waiters' clothing code. He stated that if the clothing rule is not removed, the train will be stopped in Delhi on December 12.

4 Killed After Hindu Temples Vandalised In Bangladesh

Several Hindu temples were vandalised by miscreants during Durga Puja festivities in Bangladesh. The incidents forced the Bangladesh Government to deploy paramilitary forces in over 20 districts after four people were killed and several left injured. As per reports, some incidents of blasphemy incited mobs to violence and killings. The southern town of Hajiganj was the epicentre of riots, where four people were killed.

Riots Erupt Defying South African Ex-President's Imprisonment

Following the imprisonment of former South African President Jacob Zuma, many provinces are subjected to riots, where several hundred supporters were seen blocking roads and looting shops. Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for contempt of court. Reportedly, 62 people have been arrested by the police. The riot initially originated in Zuma’s home region of KwaZulu-Natal province, and later it took over Gauteng province.

COVID Scare Results Into Prison Riot In Sri Lanka; Eight Die

A prison riot in Sri Lanka has caused at least eight deaths and injuries to 52 people. As per officials, the riot was an outcome of a scuffle between guards and prisoners who were demanding early release citing rising COVID cases in the prison. The prisoners have also been asking for proper facilities, COVID-19 tests and isolation cells for the infected ones. The Mahara prison has logged about 1,000 COVID-19 cases.
